New for 2025: Shortened Festival Dates
The 2025-2026 Nights of Lights will run from November 15, 2025, to January 11, 2026, a significantly shorter season compared to years past when the lights stayed on through the end of January. January also gives you some reprieve as most tourists will be leaving town on New Year’s Day to go home after the holiday.
For overnight visitors with schedule flexibility, arrive Sunday evening and check out by Thursday morning. This helps you dodge the chaotic Friday-Saturday surge and lets you explore at a more leisurely pace.
Plan Your Arrival and Parking: If you’re not staying within walking distance of downtown, plan to arrive early to secure parking. Arriving while it’s still light allows you to find a spot easily and gives you time to explore the city before the lights come on. We love our city, and Nights of Lights is a magical tradition—but it’s not for everyone, especially with this year’s shorter season and ongoing city construction.
