  • Reschedule requests made within 4 hours of the tour start time, including last-minute phone calls or messages, cannot be accommodated. At that point, guides are already on-site and prepared to operate the tour. The tour is considered used and is non-refundable and non-reschedulable.

Yes. Kids are welcome on three of our six tours, and there is no child price. If they can walk, they need a ticket. Since we specialize in small groups, we count a baby in a stroller or pram as a ticketed guest. If your child fits in a body carrier, they do not need a ticket. Our three family friendly tours:

  1. St. Augustine Sweets & History Tour. Kids LOVE the insulated collector bag that they get to fill up along the tour. Keeps them engaged while we explore St. Augustine’s history and architecture between food stops.
  2. St. Augustine Food Tour. We created this specifically for guests that don’t drink and for families. This is a great way to get your child out of their comfort zone and experience new cuisines and dishes.
  3. St. Augustine History Tour. This is 460 years of history in 90 minutes. We’re outside 95% of the tour and constantly on the move. We’ve had 10 year olds that are engaged and asking questions the whole time. We’ve also had teenagers that looked like they wanted to be anywhere else in the world at that very moment. Don’t worry though. By the end of the tour, they all have a new appreciation for this incredible city. You know your kids best.

Our St. Augustine Historic Bar Crawl, St. Augustine Bourbon, Whiskey & History Experience, and St. Augustine Wine, Cocktail & Food Experience are 21+ only.

An appetite for our culinary tours! For all tours, but especially our St. Augustine Historic Walking Tour, it gets very hot in Florida, so come hydrated and make sure to have sunscreen and a wide brimmed hat, especially in the Summer. Some tours have a few stairs involved. Guests should have a moderate fitness level to complete our tours. We recommend sneakers or comfortable sandals as we will be on uneven historic brick streets during certain portions of our walking tours.

Yes! We can accommodate guests using wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and other mobility aids. Please let us know ahead of time so we can plan the most accessible route and avoid stairs whenever possible.

Keep in mind that this is historic St. Augustine! Some areas have uneven brick streets, curbs, and limited or no sidewalks, so mobility equipment will need to be able to navigate these surfaces.

We do not have a certified ASL guide, but we do have access to a large group of students who study American Sign Language at Flagler College that we can hire with enough lead time. If you have any questions or concerns about our deaf-friendly tours, please contact us for more information.

Every guest needs a ticket, at any age, and there is no child price. How long are your tours?

  •  St. Augustine Sweets & History Tour has five stops and starts with a drink of your choice, from cold brew to iced tea to hot chocolate. From there we cover pastry, praline, chocolate, ice pops, macarons, and more. This is the least amount of eating of any of our food tours. We sample along the way, but the real treat is filling up your collectible insulated bag to take home or back to your hotel. We call it the tour that keeps on giving, because you will be working through your goodie bag all afternoon and evening.
  • St. Augustine Food Tour has four stops and no alcohol. This is a serious food tour for serious eaters. Skip breakfast, treat it as your lunch, and plan for a late dinner. There is no fixed route. Stops change with the season and with which chefs I most want to show off that month. This tour is available on our website only. You will not find this one on Viator or GetYourGuide.
  • St. Augustine Historic Bar Crawl covers three stops with a glass in your hand at all times. You choose your drink based on what each location pours, which might be beer, a glass of wine, a THC drink, or spiked iced tea. The middle stop is a proper sit down. Kielbasa and pierogi, baked oysters and reuben egg rolls, smoked brisket and wings. It depends where we land that week. This tour has no fixed route. Beyond the meeting point, we pick two more of our favorite restaurants and bars and talk history while we drink.
  • St. Augustine Wine, Cocktail & Food Experience works differently from most food tours. Instead of small bites across five or six stops, this is three substantial stops with wine pairings, charcuterie, cocktails, smoked meats, and dessert. It starts at 2:00 PM. Have a light breakfast and do not plan an early dinner, because you will not be hungry for a while.
  • St. Augustine Bourbon, Whiskey & History Experience is the one tour where we recommend eating before you arrive. This is a custom bourbon experience at the distillery beginning at 1:30 PM, followed by bourbon flights at two more restaurants. We pair the bourbon with food at those second two stops, but this is bourbon, not beer, and we are drinking all afternoon. Consider taking an Uber to this one.
  • St. Augustine History Tour is a walking tour with no food or drink stops.

Often, yes. If a departure is already scheduled and running, you can book online up to one hour before start time. If nobody has booked a departure yet, it closes at 7:00 PM the night before. If you do not see what you want on the calendar, call us at 904-599-7391. We may be able to open a departure if a guide is available. Either way, book online or by phone. We cannot take walk-ups at the meeting point.

Yes, on every tour, at no charge and with no advance notice needed. Service animals as defined by the ADA are welcome on all six of our tours, including our food and drink tours. Emotional support animals are not service animals under the ADA. They are welcome on our St. Augustine History Tour under our pet policy and cannot join our food and drink tours.

Call us at 904-599-7391. Our tours leave on time. If you are late for a food or drink tour, keep your guide updated using the contact information you receive the morning of your tour. Your guide can often tell you whether the group is still at the first stop or where you might catch up. Our St. Augustine History Tour has to depart on time, and your guide cannot check a phone once we are walking. Call the office instead. We will do everything reasonable to get you on your tour, but we cannot hold a departure, delay it, or guarantee you can rejoin one in progress. Late arrivals and no-shows are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling.

Give yourself 30 minutes for parking, and 45 to 60 during Nights of Lights and holiday weekends. Historic St. Augustine is not a place you can roll into five minutes before a tour.

There is no parking at any of our meeting locations. Give yourself 30 minutes to find a spot. The same options work for every tour we run. Five of our six meeting points are on or just south of the Plaza, and the sixth is one block north, so anywhere you park downtown puts you within a short walk.

  • Granada Street Parking, 79 to 99 Granada Street. Pay by plate, $2.50 per hour.
  • Trinity Church Parking, 5 Artillery Lane. $20 all day. Occasionally closed for church events.
  • Historic Downtown Parking Facility, 1 Cordova Street. $20 all day, $40 during Nights of Lights. This is the garage most visitors know, and it is the furthest from our meeting points at a 10 to 15 minute walk.
  • Street parking on most city streets. Pay by plate, $2.50 per hour.

Metered hours and limits. Granada and city street parking are $2.50 per hour, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday through Saturday, and 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday. There is a four hour maximum. You can stay in the same spot past four hours, but you have to top off. Top off from your phone. Look for a City of St. Augustine pay station to find your zone, then download the ParkStAug app and top off using your license plate without walking back to your car. Accessible parking is free. Under Florida law, vehicles displaying a disabled parking placard or qualifying license plate do not pay for street or metered parking, as long as the person the permit was issued to is in the vehicle. These are the lots we recommend. There are many more private lots downtown, and the City of St. Augustine parking page has the full picture.

All walking. We do not operate trolleys, trains, buses, vans, golf carts, bicycles, pedicabs, or horse-drawn carriages. Every tour covers about a mile or less at an easy pace with plenty of standing and stopping. If you are looking for a riding tour of St. Augustine, there are several good operators in town, and we are happy to point you toward one.

Our St. Augustine Historic Walking Tour, St. Augustine Sweets & History Tour, and St. Augustine Food Tour are perfect for guests who do not drink alcohol, or have a large group of guests who are under 21.

Please note that most of our St. Augustine Food Tour restaurant partners still offer alcoholic beverages, so if you keep a completely alcohol free lifestyle and do not like to be near it, we recommend our St. Augustine Historic Walking Tour or St. Augustine Sweets & History Tour.

The St. Augustine Wine, Cocktail & Food Experience includes some of our favorite food around town, and guests can choose soda, iced tea, sparkling water, and even mocktail options at certain restaurant partners, but there is no price difference.

  • Vegetarian options are available. Please choose this preference at the time of booking and remind your guide at the start of the tour.
  • Guests with other dietary restrictions or food allergies (gluten free, dairy free, kosher, vegan) are welcome to join the tour but should expect a more limited selection of tastings compared to other guests. While we do our best to accommodate, substitutions are not always possible.

Bartender/server gratuities are already included in the tour price. While it’s never expected, if you enjoyed your tour and want to give a tip to your tour guide, please do! Most guidebooks and American Express suggest 20% of the full tour price. There is even an option to tip your guide while booking a tour.

Yes. Private tours are one of the things we do best. We take up to 60 guests on the St. Augustine History Tour and up to 30 on our food and drink tours. Larger groups are split across multiple guides so nobody is straining to hear or waiting on a crowd. Groups we host regularly:

Sometimes! We work with our restaurant partners to curate the food and drinks included on each tour, but several experiences offer choices along the way. Guests can select certain flavors on our Sweets & History Tour, choose from drink options at some stops on our Wine, Cocktail & Food Experience and Historic Bar Crawl.

For our Food Tour and Bourbon, Whiskey & History Experience, selections are arranged with our restaurant partners before the tour. Have a dietary restriction or food allergy? Let us know when booking and we’ll do our best to customize the menu for you.

Yes, on our St. Augustine History Tour, with advance notice. Your dog needs a ticket. We cap this tour at 12 guests, and a dog takes one of those spots the same way a person does. It also means every guest knows in advance that a dog is coming, which matters when we are standing close together for 90 minutes. Contact us before you book so we can confirm your date and time. If you are the first to book that departure, we will mark it dog friendly so anyone booking after you knows. Book four tickets or more, including your dog, and we may be able to run your History Tour privately, depending on guide availability. Our 10:30 AM and later History Tours stop at a small religious shrine. Service animals may go inside. Pets will wait in the courtyard with someone from your party. Our food and drink tours are limited to service animals as defined by the ADA. Pets and emotional support animals cannot join, because of restaurant health regulations.

Less than you might expect. The historic district is compact, and every tour covers about a mile or under at an easy pace with plenty of standing and stopping. We are walking the oldest grid system in the continental United States. Most streets have been updated over the past 460 years, but expect some uneven brick and sidewalks along the way. Comfortable shoes matter more than the distance does.

Yes, and the timing works in your favor. We add a 5:30 PM departure of our St. Augustine History Tour from November 21, 2026 through January 18, 2027, and we call it History Under the Lights. It is the same 90 minute tour, walked after dark while the lights are up. If you book it, come downtown early. Arriving at 5:00 for a 5:30 tour will not work during Nights of Lights. Plan to be parked by mid-afternoon, have dinner or wander, and meet us at 5:30. Guests who drive in for the evening alone usually end up circling. Our St. Augustine Wine, Cocktail & Food Experience and St. Augustine Bourbon, Whiskey & History Experience both finish right as the sun is going down, so you step out of the last stop as the lights come on. Our History, Sweets & History, Food Tour and Historic Bar Crawl all run earlier in the day. Take one of those, park once, and you are already downtown with a spot when everyone else is circling for one. Give yourself 45 to 60 minutes for parking during the season, and book early. Nights of Lights weekends fill first.

Yes. Solo travelers are welcome on any departure that is already running, and our small groups make it easy to fall in with everyone else. The one catch is that we need two guests to open a new departure. If the time you want is not on the calendar yet, Contact Us with your dates and we will let you know as soon as one opens.

Yes. Rain does not cancel our tours. Florida weather changes every 30 minutes, so check the forecast the morning of your tour and bring an umbrella if there is any chance of it. A passing shower is normal here and we keep walking. If conditions are not safe, or flooding makes the route impassable, we will contact you to reschedule or issue a refund.

This is Florida. From May through October, plan for heat and humidity. Bring a wide-brimmed hat and a water bottle, including on our food tours where water is provided. Sunscreen and comfortable shoes as well. Our 8:30 AM St. Augustine History Tour is the coolest departure of the day from May through October, and we call it the Beat the Heat tour. It also happens to be the quietest time on the streets all year. If you book a 12:30 PM or 3:00 PM History Tour between May and October, know that we are outside for 95% of that tour.

It depends on the season. For November through January, reach out three months ahead. Nights of Lights fills our calendar and guides book up early. For the rest of the year, one month is usually enough. Summer is our quietest stretch, so we can often accommodate shorter notice. If your dates are tighter than that, call us anyway at 904-599-7391. We would rather tell you no than have you assume it.
